I have a business and I want to activate Cargo Automático in my Flow account

Below we tell you how to activate the Cargo Automático payment method in your Flow account.

What requirements must a business meet to contract this payment method?

  • Be registered in Flow as a business enabled to receive payments and have an active account.
  • Have a bank account registered in the name of a company with RUT registered in the Internal Revenue Service.
  • That the business registered with the Internal Revenue Service covers the products or services for which automatic charges are issued.
  • Have the data registered in your Flow account to bill you for the payment and collection service and that they correspond to the same RUT registered for the bank account.
  • That the service or product for which automatic charges are made is published on a public website with its price and contracting conditions or terms of purchase clearly expressed.
  • That the service or product for which you make automatic charges does not violate any applicable law, nor for a service, sale or transmission that is prohibited by law or by Flow's terms and conditions.

What are the commercial conditions of the payment method?

  • The cost of the service and commercial conditions are available in the current rates section.
  • Chargebacks correspond to a dispute or lack of recognition by a customer. In the event that a customer issues a chargeback for any charge made through this service, the merchant authorizes Flow to deduct the amount disputed by the customer from the next fund transfer. How to contract the payment method?

  1. If you don't have a Flow account yet, you must register with Flow. In the register form you can select the payment methods you wish to activate.
  2. If you already have a Flow account and want to add Cargo Automático to your payment methods, follow these steps:
    • Log in to your Flow account.
    • Go to the Medios de pago menu.
    • Click on the Editar datos button.
    • Select the payment method(s) you want to activate and choose the rate.
    • Click on the Guardar cambios button.
    • You will then receive an email with a security code that you must enter in your portal.
    • Once you enter the security code correctly, the selected payment methods will be activated.

What ways does Flow offer to manage automatic charges or recurring payments?

Currently, Flow has two ways:

  1. Use the Subscriptions feature:
    This feature allows the merchant to subscribe one or more customers to a specific subscription plan, either through the Flow website or through Flow's REST API. In this case, the customer will always be charged based on the amount and frequency of the plan.

    • If you have contracted the Cargo Automático payment method and the customer has registered a bank card, Flow will charge the payment through an automatic charge to the customer's card.
    • If you have not contracted the Cargo Automático payment method, Flow will send a payment by email (payment link) to the customer, where they can pay through the other contracted payment methods (Webpay, Servipag, etc.).
    • If you want to generate a subscription through the Flow website, you must follow the instructions mentioned on the Subscriptions page.
    • If you want to implement subscriptions on your website, you must use our REST API available here.
  2. Use the Cargo Automático payment method directly:
    This payment method allows you to automatically charge a customer using the Flow REST API. The amount to be charged is defined for each charge.

    • The merchant must register a customer using the REST API.
    • The customer must register their bank card.
    • The merchant can automatically charge the customer for the desired amount and frequency using the REST API.

Can I use the Subscriptions feature without signing up for the Cargo Automático payment method?

Yes, it is possible. In this case, Flow will send a receipt via email (payment link) to the client, where they can pay using the other contracted payment methods (Webpay, Servipag, etc.).

Daily transaction limits

  • For security reasons, Flow sets a daily limit to automatically charge a customer.
  • If you wish to increase your limit, please contact us at support@flow.cl requesting an increase in your daily limit.
  • The automatic charge product is configured by default with the following limits:
    1. Maximum amount per transaction: 250,000 CLP
    2. Maximum daily accumulated amount per client: 500,000 CLP
    3. Maximum number of daily payments per client: 5 payments
